Store Operative

Department: Operations
Reporting to: Supply Chain Manager

As Stores Operative you are integral to the business, being part of a busy dynamic environment that
changes daily. Your list of duties will be varied, and will need to be carried out with high levels of care.
You are required to perform a variety of tasks in receiving, storing, accounting for, distributing, shipping,
and issuing equipment, apparatus, materials, and supplies; and perform other related duties as required.

Security

  • Due to the nature of the work all candidates must be eligible to obtain security clearance to SC level.

  • Maintaining traceability of goods and materials
  • Preparing materials for shipping to external processors and the receipt of goods after outside processing has taken place
  • Packing of goods ready for dispatch following industry standards or customer requirements
  • Booking of couriers and the despatch of goods ensuring that Export Compliance rules are followed
  • Other general maintenance activities
  • Driving details as required
  • Carrying out any additional tasks as required by line management

Qualifications

  • Fork Lift License (preferable not essential)
  • English and Maths GCSE Grade 4 (or equivalent)

Experience

  • Working within a warehouse environment or similar (not essential)
