The Digital Meerkat is an ultra lightweight digital goniometer developed for dismounted target acquisition, where precise angular measurement and rapid deployment are critical.
High resolution encoders in both azimuth and elevation deliver accurate line of sight measurement, while independent fine adjust mechanisms allow the operator to hold a precise line of sight onto distant objects of interest.
Designed around Instro's Meerkat tripod interface, the Digital Meerkat supports a wide range of hand held target locators and north finding modules, forming the heart of the VIPER target acquisition system family.
